Silane-modified polymers contain alkoxysilyl groups & are thus able to crosslink in the presence of moisture. If the silane-terminated polyethers, the silyl groups are coupled to the ends of the polyether backbone via an alkylene – Methylene group is known as Alpha Silanes.
